School Resource Officer (SRO) Sullivan

SRO Sullivan is a DeKalb native and has been with the Department for nearly 18 years. One fun fact about SRO Sullivan is that most people either don’t know or don’t call me by my actual name. During his free time, Sullivan likes to eat at places that the TV show “Man vs. Food” has featured. During one of his trips, he had a 2lb doughnut; yes you read that correctly. "Yes, I ate the whole thing and it was amazing!"

Officer Bell

Officer Bell is a DeKalb native and has been with the department for four years. During his down time, you may find him riding his bike around town.

School Resource Officer (SRO) Remnes

SRO Remnes has been with the DeKalb Police Department for 8 years. When she was younger, she aspired to be a dentist. Her favorite vacation spot is Mexico and she hopes one day to be able to swim with whale sharks.

Detective Hernandez

Detective Hernandez is an NIU Alumni and has been with the DeKalb Police department for over 6 years. He currently works in our detective division. In his free time, he enjoys playing basketball and staying active.
